Boys U11 Spitfires - GNP U10 Pumas

After a disappointing result last week, the U10 Spitfires were asked to forget everything and simply play their football with passion and pride today. Sounds cliche I know, but it seemed to work as they starting pushing forwards and playing with some freedom.

Just as everything seemed free sailing though, the opposition raised their game and started to hit back. The match swung in our favour - level - in our favour - level on four occasions until we settled down in the second half and began to show some more resolute defending; the kind we were used to seeing of old.

A good solid result today that - whilst it lacked the performance we maybe wanted - allows us to take forwards and build upon in training.

Well done Spitfires - you deserved that today 🙌🏼
