U13 Calcio Talent & Select - AllSkills Elite U13
A persistent performance from the boys this week led to a convincing 6-1 victory over a decent looking AllSkills Elite side who had recorded a 2-1 start to the season prior to kick off.
After a slow start, we settled into the game, matching the physicality of a strong team who were clearly used to winning the physical battle in midfield. The likes of charlie and Jack really got stuck in, with John & Jacob stepping up from the defensive line to consistently win the long ball. A determined game from our newest recruit Rory Carlin saw him grow into the game in midfield, both in and out of possession.
Some powerful running on the ball from Jack on 40 minutes opened up the through ball to Logan who calmly slotted home, after switching to his shooting boots for the second period. This seemingly broke the will of the opponents right on half time. In the second half the floodgates opened, seeing a relentless period of play between 45-68 minutes, with goals from Logan (x2), Ted (x2) and Jack in the second half, before conceding a late consolation goal in the last minute of the game.
Another physical battle won against a bigger side with the persistence to keep playing out from the back to create high quality chances. Well done boys, onto next week.
