Girls U13's - Coundon

Our girls were incredibly unfortunate to lose today, going down 2-1 to Coundon. After a scrappy first half, we asked the girls to step it up in the second half, and go back to passing the ball, as they have in recent weeks. The improvement was immediate , and they did exactly what we asked of them . Our goal came from an own goal, after a spell of intense pressure on the Coundon defense, and was thoroughly deserved. We were dominant again all second half, but just couldn't find a goal. 

Coundon scored an undeserved winner, with just 3 minutes left on the clock. 

Their coach admitted that they didn't deserve the win, and that we were the better team.

Massive shout out to Eggie, who stepped in as keeper today, and was fantastic, and was not at fault for either of the goals. Thank you Eggie 👏🏻

Player of the match went to Ava , who showed good strength in midfield and looked dangerous out on the left.  

Parents player went to Eva, who played some great passes, and made some big challenges.
