Mambas 0-1 Weekly Rovers Collectivo

Great effort from the boys, we played 4 at the back for the 1st time and it worked well today. We were catching them offside a lot and it frustrated them 1st half, almost taking the lead with a great strike from Nathan Szczakiel hitting the underside of the bar. HT 0-0

Second half we played same as 1st, a few chances both ends with Alfie Mcgreevy continuing to make some good saves. Then the pen, changed the game, not sure it was as clear cut as they seem to think but they took it well and went 1-0 up.

We went 3 at the back and really pilled the pressure on but couldn’t get the break for the equaliser. FT 0-1

Rarely do I come away happy from a defeat happy, but when the boys put in a good performance like that, you could see we tried to play more football this week, and they kept going to the last whistle dominating the last 10 minutes, against a very good side, they should be pleased with their team performance.
