**Match Report: Rugby Borough vs. Leamington Brakes**
After postponement, Rugby Borough faced off against Leamington Brakes. This was the first of two back to back games for Brakes.
The first half was largely a stalemate, with both sides determined but failing to break through. However, just before the whistle, Rugby Borough managed to take the lead with a goal, changing the momentum as the teams headed into halftime.
The second half mirrored the closing moments of the first, with Rugby Borough quickly doubling their lead to 2-0. Leamington Brakes were far from giving up, though, as Sebastian capitalise on a corner to bring his team back into the fight.
The game opened up significantly from there. Rugby Borough responded swiftly, extending their lead to 3-1. Leamington kept the contest alive, thanks to a stunning solo run from Oleg, who pierced through the middle to score his debut goal, to 3-2.
Despite their efforts, Leamington couldn't close the gap, and Rugby Borough sealed their victory with a fourth goal, ending the match at 4-2.
Reflecting on past encounters, this performance was a marked improvement for Leamington Brakes, having previously suffered a heavy 6-1 defeat. We should be really proud of our players as they are now improving and competing.
