Southam United u13 vs Stockton U13

Stockton U13’s made the short journey to Southam United to play their local rivals on Sunday with both teams having enjoyed a successful start to the season.

As expected, the game started very competitively, with both teams trying to get the better of their school mates and it was Southam who managed to strike first through a long range-free kick that’s sailed into the roof of the net out of reach of Jensen in the Stockton goal. 

Stockton struck back a few minutes later, as Ben sent the ball into the top corner at the other end.

The teams were locked at 1-1 at half time in a really frantic game on a difficult heavy pitch.

The second half saw Stockton start to take hold of the game and it was new signing Noah W, who took the initiative, scoring 2 great goals on his debut. Chace added a 4th not long afterwards and put Stockton into a commanding position. 

Southam were able to keep the contest alive by bundling the ball over the line following a goal mouth scramble, but it was ultimately Stockton who were victorious, running out 4-2  winners to extend their 100% record and take the bragging rights back to school until the return fixture.
