Rising Hope Mambas (year 6 Sept 2024) - Barton Panthers

We controlled the game from start to finish and forced them into long ball kicks from their keeper or long cross field passes trying to get in behind our defence.

We played a lot of good football again today and deserved to win with an outstanding squad performance!

First half we coped well, Alfie with a couple of really important saves, before two early enforced changes meant Dom going in defence and Nathan and Logan coming into midfield. The front two and midfield were working hard on the press and we were the team playing all the football, taking the lead not long before halftime Logan with a powerful shot too strong for their keeper. HT 0-1

Second half we dominated and kept them pressed in their half for long periods. Again they tried to counter but we were never in trouble. We got our second Nathan with a thunderous 20 yard free kick giving their keeper no chance. 2 nil up and with 10 minutes to go we kept working hard, passing and pressing and looked like we might get a third, taking away a deserved win FT 0-2

We couldn't pick a POTM too many contenders today, thought the entire squad deserved it for their collective performance.
