Home match on grass Pitch 4 on a nice mild Sunday.

What a match and result we have waited a long time for! I've got to start by congratulating the defence and goal keepers as your displays are worth a hat-trick each, in the oppo goals your stop. Well done!

At one stage the oppo had a 2 player power-play giving them 9 on the pitch to our 7. We still didn't look outplayed!

Once I was able to speak (please try and let me - when I say stop kicking balls, NO MORE SHOULD BE!) we spoke about playing like our favourite pros, anticipating next moves in defence and attack, having a picture in our heads (of what we want to do when the ball comes to us) and the need to always have fun.

We then looked so good, and it gave us the opportunity to play some team mates in positions (where they may not always play). It was good to see some new names on the goals/ assists. I should also say well done to the two with hat-tricks (3)!

Whilst result was exceptional it wasn't always perfect, and we should always try and improve. We lacked a bit of midfield cover at times and were over-loaded - if 4 are attacking we need 4 back min. Also, we seem to have a knack of scoring and then giving away goals within seconds (eyes off the game). Finally, I spoke about bringing the ball under control with other body parts - like thighs and your chest - we don't always need to use feet.

Great game and great result though, enjoy it and see you all on Tuesday for training, to discuss and get even better!
