Rising Hope Cobras (Year 9 Sept 2024) - Corby Town Youth

So Covid and illness dismantled our team this week with another falling by the way side this morning before kick off, leaving us 9 players, 2 returning from illness and covid themselves. 

We knew it would be a hard day at the office anyway having never beaten them. 

We went down 2 0 very quickly and then woke up. Scoring what could be team goal of the season, directly off the training ground with our quick combination football with a through ball for Riley to run on to and dispatch superbly. 

Not long after Seb had a very similar chance from again our brilliant combination play. Unfortunately his effort just the wrong side of the post. 

Corby Town continued to play BIG HOOF football (or quality football according to their coaches 🤣) yes it was effective but boy was it crap to watch. Our time will come in the not too distant future against these, trust me. 

Nathan scored from over 20 yards after turning the defender superbly and then seeing the keeper off the line. 

Our legs went in 2nd half from the amount of effort we had put in but boy what an effort all 9 put in. 

We go again next weekend.
