Girls U13's - Redditch Borough

The u13 girls faced Redditch at home this morning in the second round of the cup.

With only 12 available, the girls had to work hard for their 8-1 victory.

After a slow opening spell, Holly found the net after 12 minutes, assisted by Freya.

Holly found the net again after 15mins , after getting on the end of a neat pass from Helen.

The girls were dominating now, and the Redditch players heads had dropped already. 

Eva squeezed the ball home after 25 minutes, found just onside the box by Liss.

After half time , Eva returned the favour for Liss, who got her reward for a hard working performance in midfield. 

Soon after, Helen got on the score sheet to score her first of the season. 

Almost immediately Holly grabbed her hat trick , abs was unlucky not to grab a 4th shortly after. 

We were then caught out by a shot come cross, that drifted into the top of the net by the Redditch winger. 

But the girls kept on going, and Helen grabbed her second goal, set up smartly by the impressive Freya in the 62nd minute.

Ava wrapped up the scoring in the 65th minute with her first of the season, striking the ball low from just inside the box . 

Not the best perforce today, but the girls were too strong for Redditch and earnt their big win. This should be a nice little confidence boost and spurbthe girls on in the next few weeks .

Player of the match was Freya, who was dangerous all game down the right hand side. Parents player went to Liss, who worked hard in center midfield .
