U14 Blacks vs Chesterfield
In a thrilling encounter in Matlock, UFCA snatched victory with a dramatic last-minute winner from Zac Black, sealing a 3-2 triumph over Chesterfield.
The home side started brightly, applying early pressure that paid off when they took the lead in the 12th minute. A well-placed shot from just inside the box found the back of the net, sending chesterfield 1-0 up.
However, UFCA responded quickly and decisively and started to control the game that was played at a fast and frantic pace. Just after the half-hour mark, Isa Butt equalized from the penalty spot, coolly slotting the ball past the Chesterfield goalkeeper after a foul was awarded inside the area. This goal shifted the momentum as UFCA began to assert themselves more in the game.
With the confidence growing, UFCA took the lead in the 38th minute. Zac Black showcased his clinical finishing skills, striking a powerful shot from the edge of the box that flew into the corner of the net, putting his team ahead 2-1 at halftime.
