Stockton juniors u12 vs Camp Hill U12

This mornings game was all about team work. All 13 boys giving it everything for eachother.

Stockton started well applying some early pressure on the Camp Hill goal. However against the run of play it was the visitors who took the lead. Going behind seemed to give the boys an extra 10% and they quickly got back on level terms. Dougie found space outside the box and hit a low drive into the bottom corner. 2 goals in 4 minutes from Ben sent Stockton into a 3-1 lead. The scoring didn't stop and 9 minutes later chace headed in to make it 4-1. The visitors did have a chance to score again but jensen made a good save to his right hand side.

Half time 4-1

Half time message was to not get carried away and keep it tight at the back.

Second half the boys defended fantastically making blocks, tackles and saves to keep a second half clean sheet. That gave them the platform to go on and score more goals. The fifth came from Ronnie across the goalkeeper into the bottom corner. Next was William from just inside the box and the keeper could only parry into the net. Finally Ben scored his third and forth goals to make it a final score 8-1.

It is cliché to say it but there is no I in team. The boys are showing they are a team and getting the rewards they deserve.

Player of the Match - Chace - Brilliant effort getting up and down the wing. Supported his full back in defence and was a constant threat going forward.

Parents Player of the Match - William - always calm in possession and looks to do the right thing. Brilliant performance today!
