Girls U13's - Coventry united

The u12  girls were away to Coventry United on a cold, frosty morning. 

The match started evenly, but we found ourselves 1-0 down at the end of the first half,  when their striker broke the offside trap and slotted home.

The second half started brighter,  and within 2 minutes of the restart,  Helen found the net after a nice passing move with Eggie. Unfortunately,  there striker broke through in almost identical circumstances,  and scored 2 more in quick succession.  Helen then found the net again, to make the score 3-2. 

Cov then scored again to restore their 2 goal advantage,  before Holly continued her fine form with another goal. Cov scored straight again before the final whistle to take the game out of reach,  and it finished 5-3 to the home team.  There were positives to take out of of the game though, as their was some great football on show at times in tough conditions.

Player of the match went to Eggie today, and the parents award wert to Poppy, who had a great game in defense.
