Girls U12's Lionesses - Stratford Town U11's Blues

Another great all round team performance today from the girls running out  winners in their opening cup fixture of the season.

We spoke about motivation and dedication before the match. We asked the girls to be dedicated in tracking back, holding positions, waiting for the ball to come to them and to motivate their team mates and we saw this throughout the match.

The goals came throughout the team which was encouraging and there were quite a few near misses thanks to resilient goalkeeping from Stratford. Although they couldn't keep out another rocket of a penalty - this week from Erin. Even an additional player through the power play didn't make a difference.

It can be difficult with such a large squad and we did have a full 15 available today, but the girls rotated well with both teams equally strong which is an amazing advantage for our team going into 9 a side next season.
