Girls U10's - Daventry Panthers
A great experience for the girls today, playing on the Daventry Town first team pitch. With 9 players available to us today it meant we could change and rotate positions regularly giving the girls a much needed break on very warm morning.
We’ve had a few matches against Daventry recently so we knew we were in for a good game. The girls started brightly and took the lead after a good team move tucked away by Ivy. A brilliant run from Edith from defence to attack almost led to a goal.
Daventry levelled the score just before the break in what was proving to be an end to match. In training we have been working on scanning and awareness on the pitch and the girls were showing us what they have learnt with some great passages of play. We took a foothold in the game and increased our lead further with another goal from Ivy who was definitely up for it today.
Chances were being created by both teams with Ivy, Sienna and Layla all having efforts saved and Daventry were unlucky with a couple of efforts flying wide but they did come back with a goal on the counter before Ivy added another goal to her name.
Another goal for Ivy taking her tally to 5 and late goal from
Daventry wrapped things up in a very entertaining game.
A very positive game for the girls.
