16's Girls - Biggar Blacks

It was a tough match up today between Biggar Blacks and Oban Lorne RFC. Conditions didn't help with a waterlogged pitch and all four seasons making an appearance throughout the game but the Oban girls didn't allow it to get their heads down. The team benefitted from the strong leadership of captain Ruby Blainey and Vice Captains Hayleigh Ward and Ruth Joss. Leading by example, they played with an intensity that inspired strong tackles and working as a team. Oban's only try from the game came as a result of great teamwork, a strategic kick into touch to gain yards, a won line out and Annie MacLennan's power to get it over the line. Biggar took a strong win today but the girls were victorious in the small goals they had set for themselves and have lots to be proud of. Player of the match was Ruby Blainey.
