What can I say apart from a truly dominant display from the team! After last week’s tough result against York City, the boys bounced back in the best possible way with a comprehensive 10-3 win over Pickering. From the first whistle, we controlled the game, showing bravery in possession and a strong desire to defend when out of it.

We created chance after chance, and though we may have been fortunate with two offside goals, it didn’t change the overall result or reflect the balance of play. The lads fully deserved to run away with it by the end. The tweak we made to tuck the wingers inside when Pickering had possession worked perfectly. By creating an overload in midfield, we prevented them from playing through us, and from there, it was all about how much pressure we could apply.

The best part of the match, for me, was the fact that every single goal had an assist. It really showed how much of a team performance this was, with everyone contributing to our attacking play. The lads played for each other, and it was fantastic to watch.
