14's Girls - Cambuslang

U14 Girls travelled to Cambuslang and played two strong teams. Cambuslang  maintaining their core team from last year, fielded a strong side with well established game play. Our team however were not put off and quickly established their squad and provided some tough competition for the hosts. Great try scoring from Jaime, Molly, Rosie and Alice supported by strong defence. Carys and Faraid get particular mention for some excellent tackling. Final score Oban: 6 - Cambuslang: 10.

Second match against Biggar. Again an evenly matched game. Strong start from Oban with early tries Jaime (3 in a row) Oban tired late in the first half but were reinvigorated  in the second with Molly and Karys both scoring. With our defensive line taking shape we held to an 8:6 score to Biggar. 

All players had a good turnout over both games and this young side shows much promise for the season. Big congradulations to all! They should be really proud and look forward to the next matches. With such strong performance from quite a few of the players, Player of the Match was a hard call but for consistency in both defence and attack it goes this week to co-captain Jaime MacIntyre. Well done!
