U13 Whites - Yorkshire Amateurs
With a pitch that was part sand, part trough pitch markings, the boys already had there work cut out. Overall a very solid performance against a scrappy Yorkshire Amateur side, who, to be fair, played to their strengths and were quick to press us all over the pitch.
First couple of quarters we were positionally solid and didn’t allow them any chances, along with getting an early goal through getting the ball wide and delivering a great ball into the box to finish. With this said, we had many good ideas but just didn’t move the ball quick enough, and then got punished by conceding in the second quarter.
After that, the boys came out in the third quarter and dominated from that point on, moving the ball quicker and creating a host of chances. Defensively very solid, winning the ball back and finding the spaces out wide, with some great crosses and end product, scoring 3 times.
Although giving away a sloppy goal, we dominated the last half of the game and probably deserved a couple more.
Very good performance overall and a great team performance.
