Stockton U13 vs Bulkington

Stockton boys took on a strong Bulkington side at home on Sunday afternoon with both sides boasting a 100% record at the top of the table.

The first half was a fairly even contest with both teams cancelling each other out but it was Bulkington who broke the deadlock to go into half time 1-0 up.

Stockton made a stronger start to the second half but an uncharacteristic defensive slip allowed the Bulkington forward the chance to score a shock second from long range.

This second goal seemed to be the catalyst for a Stockton resurgence and the boys were soon back in it as Chase finished calmly in the area just as the heavens opened and the rain began to fall.

Not long after this, a dangerous ball from Ben found its way straight into the net to set up a grandstand finale and it was Ben again who popped up with the winner, running onto a great through ball to finish calmly into the far corner with just a couple of minutes left.

Stockton showed great character to win the game from 2-0 down and every player played their part in a great game of football.
