U12 Yellows vs Pro Elite

An outstanding performance from the U12 Yellows against a team that beat them earlier in the season, dominated every aspect of the game and never stopped playing the ‘UFCA way’, controlled the game and created countless high quality chances whilst dealing with their direct approach.

Despite the domination UFCA came into the 2nd quarter with score still at 0-0, however that wouldn’t last long as an outstanding free kick from Ralphy Taylor broke the deadlock, the boys then really pushed on, with Finn Whitehurst being clinical from close range to double UFCA’s advantage, and Kai Groundwell putting the finishing touches on a fantastic team move that started all the way from Evan Townsend in goal.

The third quarter began with Pro Elite coming out more aggressive than previously, working hard to create more chances and get back in the game, but the boys defended superbly, with goalkeeper Evan making a number of superb saves to keep his clean sheet thus far, the 3 defenders of Louis Hart, Rex Wilkinson and Oscar Ward handled the direct threat superbly, winning first contacts and then having the composure to play forward with quality. Finn Whitehurst then got his second of the game with a great finish, this killed all Pro Elites momentum and the boys recognised this, pushing forward and scoring again through a fierce Louis Williams half-volley into the bottom corner, and a great finish from Jake Sharp to add to the growing Talley of great goals.

The final quarter began with the task being do not lose concentration and to keep a clean sheet, however Pro Elite unfortunately did find the back of the net twice with two worldie free kicks into the top corner, this did not phase UFCA however as the boys continued to push forward in search of more goals, and the 7th goal came from an absolute thunderbolt from Rex Wilkinson from miles out in off the post, we continued pressing forward, and were unlucky when Jake Sharp hit the underside of the bar (I personally think it went in), and we had 2 disallowed goals for offside, however the 8th goal did finally come following a great cross by Rhys Hallam on the left wing, which found Sebastian Singh who dispatched with composure, rounding off a fantastic team performance and another good 3 points for the U12 Yellows.
