Girls U13's - Bourneville
Today our u12s travelled to play Bournville, after a 2 week break. With only 10 players available, there was plenty of game time on offer.
Despite a sluggish start, we found ourselves 1-0 up after 3 minutes when Holly broke through and slotted the ball home smartly.
On 12 minutes Holly grabbed her second of the game, to give us a deserved 2-0 lead.
After dominating the first half, Freya scored our 3rd in the 19th minute, again cutting in from the right.
With a 3-0 lead at half time, we asked the girls to step up the pace and, and try to keep a clean sheet.
Only 2 minutes into the second half , Helen got herself on the scoresheet .
Again, we had the majority of possession in this half, and barely allowed Bourneville any chances. Although, Robyn had to save bravely at the Bourneville strikers' feet near the end of the 2nd half.
The scoring was finished by Eva in the 55th minute, wrapping up the game comfortably 5-0.
Despite not really getting out of first gear, the girls did enough to win convincingly, and keep another clean sheet.
Everyone played their part today, and had to really dig in and give 100%.
Today's player of the match was Maggie, who dealt with everything that was thrown at her, and the parents player was Abby, who covered almost every blade of grass!
Another good morning of football, these girls are all progressing brilliantly.
