Stockton juniors u12 vs Poppys U12

After 2 months without a game totalling 9 postponement the boys finally got to start the second half of the season. There was some understandable rust in the boys play but it was just nice to see them back playing!

Storm Kathleen was in full effect at kick off with strong winds and rain.

The boys were playing against the wind and found themselves struggling to get out of their half for the majority of the first half. They were quickly 2 goals behind inside 2 minutes. As the half went on Stockton got a foothold in the game and created 3 half chances. With 10 minutes to go the opposition scored a third goal. With 5 minutes until half time Stockton got a goal back after the ball broke to Jaxon on the edge of the box his first time pass found Chace in space who slotted the ball home.

Half time 3-1

Second half was all Stockton who were now playing with the wind. Despite creating numerous chances they were unable to get themselves back into the game. With 10 minutes to go the boys were caught on the counter attack and the opposition made it 4-1. In the final minutes Ben pulled another goal back with a low shot from the edge of the area.
