Girls U10's - Coventry City Blue
A tough game for the U10 girls at home to Coventry City this morning.
We set up with a good shape and went toe to toe with them in first half despite us conceding in the first couple of minutes.
We lost our prolific striker Ivy to Cov over the Summer and she came back to haunt us with a superb goal from a free-kick.
We had a few good moments in the game but we struggled to move the ball into areas to pose a threat on the Coventry goal. Neve and Molly and had good efforts saved and a shot form Mila went the wrong side of the post. Edith on one of her typical runs from defence also went close but couldn’t get her shot away or find a team mate.
Coventry who are clearly a level above took control of the game and scored freely in the 2nd half.
Proud of the girls who kept their heads held high in a game which was likely to go only one way with the quality they have in their team.
There were good points to the game, we’ve been working on keeping shape and formation which they did well with.
⭐️ Managers player of the match was Rebecca for another strong performance. ⭐️
⭐️ The parents player was awarded to whole team ⭐️
