SoccerRockz Wrecking Balls 2 vs Leamington Brakes U10 Purple 4

Brakes made it 3 wins out of 3 in the cup group stages with a well earned victory over a spirited SoccerRockz. 

Brakes started strongly and created a number of great opportunities to score but a combination of bad luck and exceptional goalkeeping kept them out. Edward was a constant threat down the right with Toby, Rufus, Sam and Artem all getting into excellent positions. However, it was the home side who took the lead totally against the run of play and went into half time one up. 

Brakes didn’t let their heads drop and started the second half as well as they played in the first. As a result, it wasn’t long before the scores were level with a well taken goal by Sam. It was 2-1 soon after when Rufus got on the scoresheet. Artem made it 3-1 to make things a bit more comfortable but SoccerRockz got back into the game with their second goal. Any nerves were settled what Artem slammed home for a fourth. Brakes saw out the rest of the game without any issues and will look to the next round and hopefully bring home some silverware!
