U10 Purple - Vision vipers blue
Vision Vipers Blue 1 vs Leamington Brakes U10 Purple 5
Brakes put in great team performance to triumph over Vision Vipers in their cup semifinal this morning. The boys started well and created a number of chances but a combination of wayward finishing and good goalkeeping kept them out.
The host played some lovely football at times and, arguably against the run of play, went ahead midway through the first half.
Brakes continued to press forward and were eventually rewarded when Artem pounced on a mistake in the Vision defence to get a well deserved equaliser.
1-1 at half time was probably a fair scoreline with both teams looking dangerous. Brakes upped their levels in the second half and made their superiority tell when Toby finished well after some lovely build up play.
Vision continued to look dangerous on the break but the defence of Ollie, Bertie and Beau stood firm in front of the ever dependable Joe in goal. Brakes pressure increased and Toby grabbed his second to make the scoreline 3-1. Artem then capitalised on another mistake to smash in a fourth before Edward grabbed a fifth with another well taken strike.
Brakes saw out the rest of the game with Sam and Stefan working tirelessly to break up play and drive the team forward, ensuring Brakes move forward into a thoroughly deserved cup final!!
