RP U7 NL 2024/2025 (Regents Park League) - Regent's Park 1

Sunday's game was a very positive experience for us as we dominated play and secured a 7-2 victory.

We started with a 1-3-1 formation, focusing on quick transitions from defense to attack. This strategy paid off early, as we scored two goals within the first five minutes. Our pressing was outstanding, keeping the opposition pinned in their defensive third for much of the first half. However, we missed several chances to extend our lead, and the opposition capitalized on their first real opportunity by scoring from a corner.

One area for improvement is defending corners. I would like the team to quickly organize and ensure players are properly marked in these situations.

In the second half, we played even better. We managed to create space and with some good passing combinations we created many chances. I was very pleased with how quickly we restarted play when the ball went out, which led directly to one of our goals.

Overall, I’m very happy with the performance, but we still have areas to improve, especially in set-piece defense. A big thank you to the parents for arriving on time and cheering us on. Let’s take this momentum into next week and continue to grow stronger as a team!
