RP U8 NL 2024/2025 (Regents Park League) - North west academy

it was a very frustrating game today as it seemed like we have forgotten how to play football. in terms of positives there wasn't any other than two players how tried there hardest.

The negatives: during build up there was a lot of standing around and players no showing for the ball resulting in interceptions and lots of chances for the opponents. our passing to day was awful, whether it was over hit, whether it was too late, whether the pass was too the wrong player this is all stuff we have worked in training and we will continue to do so. communication was another issue as players aren't helping each other out on the pitch with simple phrases like "man on". an finally when we play we play with purpose we don't just kick the ball and hope we either pass the ball or dribble with control over the ball like in training.

everything we do in training can be applied to matches so seeing today what i saw was very disappointing as we have made improvements as a team since the start of the season, i hope we can keep working hard in training so results like this will not happen again.

in training we will continue to work on 2v2 and 3v3 so players can have a better understanding on what they are required to do in matches.
