Boys U13 (2012) Premier White - Monasterevin
Naas were determined not to be caught out by an early start as was the case against Athy. Naas started brightly with a number of chances. A Naas attack down the right by Kaspian Zielenski broke to Ben Cox on the edge of the box. Been stroked the ball into the top of the net giving the keeper no chance. Shortly after, a poor clearance by the Monasterevin defence fell to Jake Dunbar who got a half volley leaving the keeper founding. Naas were now 2-0 up and cruising. Not long before the half time whistle sounded Joshua Richardson effectively killed the game as a contest finishing smartly from the right side of the box. Naas almost went into the break 4-0 in front only for Kaspian Zielenski to see his effort come back off the upright.
The half time team talk spurred Monasterevin into action however they failed to capitalise on any chance that fell their way. Naas absorbed everything Monasterevin threw at them. Some good work up the right wing produced a cross allowing Jayden Daniel to tap into an empty net. The intensity of the game continued but the goals dried up and the game finished 4-0.
A very good team performance from Naas against what felt like a Monasterevin team that just weren't at their best.
