U13 Orange - Hillmorton Clarets

Well done to all the boys yesterday. 

Another win, but 1 that we made harder for ourselves than it should have been.

Also hard ro say anything with the opposition coach being so loud and negative. 

Hillmorton only had 1 threat, which was the quick ST. 

He got through with his pace at least 4 times, but luckily, he couldn't find a way past Charlie, who pulled off some fantastic saves. 

He kept us in the game for the 1st 15 minutes.

Once we asked Toby to stick to him and follow him everywhere, he didn't get another sniff.

Absolutely outstanding defensive performance from Toby at CB, and thoroughly deserved coaches and parents MOTM. 

The whole defence were brilliant again, working in their unit and holding the line. 

It gave us a base to completely dominate the rest of the half and go into halftime 4 nil up.

The CMs and wingers working really well together, and with the ST's to keep the ball in the opposition half.

2nd half the boys seemed to think the game was won and began to lose their shape.

Quite a few times we left a massive hole in the centre of the pitch and left our defence outnumbered 2/1.

Luckily we've been working on defending when outnumbered in training, and also had SamC to start bossing the middle of the pitch.

Thoroughly deserved players MOTM for an outstanding performance.

Great to see Az and Aiden settling into the group so well, with more goals and assists between them.

A hatrick and 2 assists for Ezra and well deserved place in Leamington team of the week.

Always good to let the boys talk about the positives and areas for improvement after the game. 99% of the time, they see what we see.

The more decisions they make, the more they'll improve.

A great result against a team that were a tier above us last season.
