9/2/25 League game v Cov Jaguar (Away)

What a game - 2nd v 3rd in the league and based on the home game was always going to be a tight exciting affair.

The boys were reminded before KO about how we broke the lines last time we played them to score and got off to a great start. The passing and moving between the midfield and forwards and some good footwork from Ez to win a penalty put us into a 2 nil lead. Cov Jag came back at us and with their pacey forward brought the score back to 2-2. Another through ball and some calm finishing put us 3-2 back up before a goal from nowhere by the opposition looped up in the air hit the bar and in. 

3-3 at half time.

Second half we made some tactical changes to become stronger in the tackle and defensively and to limit the time they had on the ball. This half was definitely a lot tighter than the first half and with 2 fine saves from Charlie we managed to get over the line with Ezs winning free kick. 

Final score 4-3

It was a fantastic team effort today from goalkeeper saves, strong solid defending, good midfield play and passes and forwards work it shows that working as a team they can get the result they want.

A mention to Ez for his 4 goals all calmly taken and his endless running but as coaches we couldn't be prouder of them all.

A gap is appearing between us and third now but we will need the same effort in our next game when we play the current leaders Brinklow
