Girls U9's Lionesses - Upper Lighthorne U9

An incredible performance from the girls today leading to their third win of the season.

First half :

The girls started strong, every single one of the girls put 100% in from the off.

We had a goalie debut for Betsy today!

A strong start led to us getting an early goal.

An excellent forward run up the line from Bea led to a cross into the box for phoebe to finish.

An unfortunate strong ball forward saw them equalising, with some fast feet to get round our goalie.

A change of goalie with Grace B going in between the sticks.

The girls put everything into pushing and keeping the scoreline

We had lots of shots on goal, with some hitting the cross bar, a few players passing rather than having a go.

Second half :

The girls were determined they wanted this game, they started so strong again on the attack.

Some defensive clearances from Elizabeth, Eva and Hattie.

Phoebe was on a roll, she managed to drive through and sneak another ball in the back of the net.

Some more changes with our rolling subs to ensure the girls get a rest.

They had some strong balls forward but we kept pushing back with our midfield doing an excellent job of carrying the football forward

A fumble from the keeper saw Phoebe get a toe on the ball to roll it over the line.

Every single one of the girls wanted to be on that pitch and play their best.

Some excellent runs forward from Scarlett and tracking back.

A forward ball from the defence saw Grace D running forward with the ball an excellent tackle from her saw the ball sneak to Phoebe's feet and she made sure she put it in the back of the net.

An incredible performance from all the girls.

They should all be so proud!!!
