A really well fought and deserved win for the team today, the first of the season. The difference being that today we were able to bring a full strength team with enough substitutes to share the work load. We started the match on the front foot and managed to register two goals in that time, not really allowing the opposition to settle. From there on, as we fought for each ball and covered every part of the pitch we managed to keep control of large parts of the game. We created some really good opportunities but were unable to make them count and put clear distance between the teams. 

The opposition were resilient and managed to fight their way back into the match and if we did not have the substitutes to share in the pressing, tracking and defending the end result may have been turned. 

A really tough win today with the boys showing great character and determination to win the game. A special mention to our goalkeeper too, who made some excellent stops and played a fantastic match. Well done all round to all the boys. We will look to build on this and strengthen again.
