Girls U11's Wildcats - Crusaders

A deserved win for the Wildcats in their last game before the Christmas break.

Having not played for 3 weeks the team were eager to get going and we looked lively from the start, creating some good chances but not taking them.

It was a much more physical game than the last time we played Crusaders but the Wildcats stood up to the challenge and got stuck in.

Hattie scored her first goal for the team just before half time after some great work from Emily to get the ball forward and into the box.

Crusaders had the better of most of the second half as we allowed them too much time with the ball. They eventually equalised mid way through the half.

But the Wildcats were not done! Emily scored the winner with the last kick of the game! A good finish into the bottom corner, unlucky for the goalkeeper who very nearly got down to save it.

Unfortunately the Crusaders didn’t take too well to the last minute defeat and there was some unnecessary comments and shouting at full time. Well done to the coach and a couple of parents though who quickly put an end to it. No problem for the Wildcats - the match was done, we had won and were going home happy.
