Match Report: U7 Thunder vs. Sky Blues Phoenix – Saturday, March 8th

Stockton kicked off the game, immediately taking control. Ollie T, Bobby J, and Louie H dazzled with their teamwork, creating an early chance. Sky Blues tried to counterattack down Stockton’s right side, but Louis C was a wall, winning possession and playing out confidently.

From a goal kick, Stockton passed out beautifully, and Louie H drove into the box, unleashing a shot that rattled the post! The pressure was mounting, and a slick pass from Bobby J set up Louie H, who crossed just short of Ollie T. Colby P was called into action, making a fantastic save from a strong Sky Blues shot.

The second quarter saw Stockton come out roaring. Hughie R was a dynamo, dribbling through the opposition and winning a corner. Jude T and Reuben M-J were warriors in midfield, battling hard to gain control. From a corner, the ball fell to Rory W, whose shot clanged off the post. Rory W was a rock in defence, passing out with precision.

Hughie R and Reuben M-J linked up brilliantly, with Hughie R crossing just in front of Jude T. Hughie R won possession again, threading a perfect through ball to Jude T, whose shot was saved by the Sky Blues keeper.

The second half kicked off with Ollie T on the ball, making a slick pass to Louie H, whose shot was blocked. Louis C was a defensive powerhouse, blocking multiple tackles. Sky Blues managed a shot, but Colby P was there with a superb save. From the kick, Colby P launched the ball up field, and it bounced over the Sky Blues keeper into the net!

Sky Blues fought back, catching Stockton off guard and smashing the ball in off the post to equalize at 1-1. Bobby J and Ollie T battled fiercely, with nothing getting past Louis C. Louie H had a couple of kick-ins blocked, but on the next one, the ball bounced in off the keeper to make it 2-1 to Stockton.

The third quarter began with a beautiful passing move involving Jude T, Hughie R, and Reuben M-J, creating a chance that was deflected wide. From the resulting corner, Hughie R played a quick ball to Reuben M-J, who fired it into the top of the goal to make it 3-1. Jude T played a wide ball to Reuben M-J, who was tackled. From the kick-in, Reuben M-J found Hughie R, who shot through the keeper's legs to make it 4-1.

Rory W was a fortress at the back, dealing with all the Sky Blues attacks. Stockton continued to create chances with quick passing and movement, sealing a thrilling 4-1 victory.
