Home match on Pitch 3. Weather was a glorious spring day, still and sunny.

We reckon this may have been one of the best all round displays. Defending the box was excellent, the oppo had very few changes to nick easy goals. We were so good on the break and passing was so crisp and direct. Let's not forget this is a good side that beat us 7-1 last time. Putting a few more chances away we could have easily had 7-5 to us! The oppo coach even commented how close it was and how many chances we had to even up/ win.

It was noted how much better our throws, corners and GKs were. We generally created attacking chances and kept possession from these. MUCH better!

Franco and I have to say that one of the biggest concerns at the moment is discipline. We are not stopping playing or talking when the coaches are (very loudly/ assertively) trying to get attention. We are also challenging the coaches about position and time played (even when some have more time than others). This is causing frustration/ signs of anger that is impacting our team game. We have to try and stop this. The coaches are also here for fun, we volunteer for this, and it's hard to have fun when many decisions are challenged. Some are worse than others so please try and improve if this sounds like you! Parents: please have a chat with the players about this.

Accepting decisions and fairness will mean we play with less frustration, our individual performances will improve, we'll have more fun and play better as a team. It'll be the most influential improvement we can make to start winning and scoring many more.

Please remember this was a great game, with great team play and the football must always be FUN.
