Match Report ;

Ice cream, you scream we all scream because we got our first win of the season today!

We started todays game strong with good team work leading to an early first goal by Alex . Soon after our second came from our current top goal scorer Will .

The first and second quarters we had a few chances as did the opposition but our defence of Henry and Fizaan and goal keeping from Dylan were able to stop any goals going in.

We had a change around of positions at half  time and Dylan swapped with Will in goal . We won a corner and some quick thinking by Zaeem with a short pass to Thomas who then passed to Fletcher to tap it in the back of the net to make it 3-0 .

The opposition had a corner which was headed into the back of the net to make it 3-1 .Soon after the restart we were on the attack again and after a box battle the ball landed at Josh’s feet and after several attempts throughout the season there was only one place that ball was going and go it did , Josh made it 4-1.

The opposition had a chance on goal which was saved by Will and we managed to break away to take the ball up the other end on an attacking run but their defence got the better of us and took the ball away to then counterattack us with our players up the other end of the pitch we was over run in defence and then unfortunately this led to another goal against us. We changed keepers again at the last break as Will wanted to come out and Fizaan opted to go in goal , he showed multiple times why we are glad we have three choices of keepers as he also had some great quick thinking saves.

After some good team to team football they then scored again making it 4-3 . Their come back was on however the Comets played with determination to get their first win .

After a shot from Alex just missed the goal and a shot from Will from far out hit the post  we knew from their determination another goal was coming.

A power strike from outside the box from Alex hit the back of the net making it 5-3 and sealing our win .

Our player of the match went to Zaeem for his hard work and effort of not only playing as a striker and right winger but for helping attack and defender both ends when needed to.
