Balsall kicked off the match, setting the stage for an intense battle. The opening minutes were tense, with both teams feeling each other out. Balsall's formidable striker posed a constant threat, but Rory W was a rock in defence, and Colby P made some spectacular saves to keep Stockton in the game.
Ollie T, Jude T, and Hughie R showcased their chemistry, linking up beautifully to apply pressure on Balsall's defence. Liam R's quick thinking led to a brilliant kick-in that found Rory W, whose powerful shot narrowly missed the target. Louie H was relentless, making numerous probing runs and creating several half-chances. Bobby J was a dynamo, tirelessly hunting down the ball and disrupting Balsall's play.
Balsall's counterattacks were dangerous, but Louis C stepped up with a massive challenge on their star player, breaking up a threatening move. Ruben M-J was everywhere, displaying his high work rate and excellent passing in midfield. The game was a thrilling end-to-end affair, finishing 0-0 at halftime.
Stockton kicked off the second half. Balsall immediately went on the offensive, with their midfielder unleashing a stunning half-volley that rattled the crossbar. Rory W responded with a dazzling dribble and a shot that went just wide. Colby P continued his heroics, making crucial saves to deny Balsall.
Hughie R embarked on a mesmerizing run from his own half, forcing the Balsall keeper into a great save. From the resulting corner, Hughie R found Jude T, whose shot was blocked but fell to Ollie T. With ice-cool composure, Ollie T slotted home to give Stockton a 1-0 lead, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
Bobby J was back in the thick of the action, making strong challenges and winning back possession. Rory W continued to impress with his dribbling skills. Jude T held his ground during a Balsall counterattack, making a crucial last-ditch tackle to prevent a goal. Balsall ramped up the pressure, but Colby P was a wall, making confident saves to keep Stockton ahead.
Balsall's counter from a Stockton corner led to a one-on-one, but Colby P was unbeatable, making an excellent save. Stockton countered back with Ruben M-J dribbling skilfully, though he ran out of space for a shot. Louie H was a powerhouse in midfield, driving Stockton forward with pace and power. Liam R was solid in defence, making key interceptions to thwart Balsall's attacks.
Stockton controlled possession and passed well throughout the second half but had to stay vigilant as Balsall remained dangerous on the counter. With resolute defending under pressure, Stockton held on to their 1-0 lead, emerging victorious.
