U11 Turquoise 24/25 - Berkhamsted

Today we hosted Berkhampsted. 

Always a really good fixture and today didn’t disappoint.

Me and Paris spoke with the girls before the start of the game about making sure we held our shape and stuck to our positions. We started the game really well and created some great passages of play. The girls passing and movement is improving every week. Mia in defence for me had her best game so far this season. She made some great clearances and looked so confident. We welcomed new player Ja’laysia who in her debut game was outstanding. Great driving runs with the ball and was unlucky not to be rewarded with a goal from her well taken strike. 

The final result may have not gone our way but the performance as a team today was the most important thing. They all came together and played as one. The positivity from players and parents was a pleasure to see. 

Our player of the match went to Zuzanna. We asked her to play as the centre midfielder but in a deeper role to keep the back solid and support her defenders. She controlled the middle of the pitch really well and played some great balls to the forward and wide players. To top it off she made a great driving run beating two players then struck the ball perfectly to score a super goal. 

Paris and I couldn’t be prouder of this group of girls and its a pleasure watching them develop every week. 💜🦩
