Girls U13's - Leafield
The u12 girls were away to Leafield in their second league match.
After the usual slow start, the girls woke up and took control of the game. On a terrible, over-grown pitch , the girls began to find their stride and started to string some passes together.
After some solid defending , we went into half time at 0-0, with neither side creating any clear cut chances.
After a couple of substitutions the second half got off to a lively start. After a good 10 mins of constant pressure, eggie found herself through on goal, and chilled the keeper with the most audacious lob from just outside the box. It nestled perfectly in the top corner, and was a well deserved lead.
Unfortunately, Leafield grabbed an equaliser shortly after.
The result was a little unjust, Stockton definitely deserved the 3 pts today. But to see the improvement these girls are making each week is very pleasing.
Todays player of the match was Maggie, for a very composed game in defence.
Parents player went to Helen, who was solid throughout .
