U13 Turquoise 24/25 - Ware youth clarets
today we hosted ware youth clarets
We didn’t play last week so the girls were abit rusty! We had 3 players missing so had to change things up abit and we rotated goalkeepers today with 4 of the girls taking turns. 👏🏼
Tha game started and it was very bunched in the middle. We couldn’t get our passing game going and that was down to ware pressing us. After the first 15/20 minutes we finally started to pass the ball around and play some football. Lexi and Mia exchanged passes out on the right and Mia found alexia who hit the shot and found the bottom corner! ⚽️ 1-0
With 5 minutes to go there was abit of ping pong in their box and it broke to Ellie who with her perseverance poked home for our second! ⚽️ 2-0
Half time
At half time I told the girls we had to press them more. We were giving them far too much time on the ball and to show more aggression in our play!
We started off the second half slow again! The first 10 minutes again we couldn’t find our way. We brought ettie on in the middle of midfield and what she lacks in size she gives in determination and effort! And she dosent stop running! She got the ball and found alexia who hit a low shot and it went in off the post! ⚽️ 3-0 finally we had the game by the scruff of the neck. We had a lot of possession down the left and had maybe 6/7 corners in a row but just couldn’t get another goal. Then we had a corner from the right. They won the first ball and went down the other end and scored! ⚽️ 3-1

todays game was a great result and another 3 points. We have a lot to work on still but the girls came together today some playing in positions that they are not used to and we ground out the result. This teams effort and commitment to each other is second to none! And when I ask them for an extra 10% they never fail to give it. our adventure this season continues and at the moment we are riding high. Let’s keep it going girls 👊🏻
