U10 White | Russ Lau - Ebor Gardens

Funny one today. Conceding the early goals again from not being switched on from the start meant a few of the boys' heads went down and saw reduced effort. Playing 6 a side maybe threw them off a little too, but frustration and negativity cost us today.

We got a couple of goals back through some really good play. Moving the ball between attackers and defenders to create space and good opportunities. Proof we can do it! There were more opportunities in the second half similarly too!

Complaints about the cold and tiredness from the kids gave way to some more negativity and Ebor got a couple more goals from lack of closing down, leading to more frustration and the kids finding it difficult to get back into the match.

The kids need to focus on they are a good team together, they play some beautiful football when they help each other out and if we concede then they should know they have the quality to bounce back.

Great debut from Reuben today (if anyone asks he was JT just for today). Well deserved PPOTM (Parents' player of the match) with good link up play, driving the ball forward, helping Zac get goals and getting a good few opportunities himself!

CPOTM was Lucas. Great attitude, some good saves and rushing the oncoming attackers to stop more goals going in. Looked to encourage others and did what the coaches are asking of him.
