CF U7 NL 2024/2025 (Corams Fields League) - Camden town youth

We started with a 1-2-1 formation, and it was a tight game between the two teams. In the first 10 minutes, we struggled to create chances, while the opponents showed a slight edge, managing to open the scoring as we found it hard to get the ball into the attacking third. Despite this, I was pleased with how we defended and made challenges.

In the second half, we came out much stronger and began creating chances right away. We quickly equalized and then turned the game around with another goal. Our attacking momentum continued, and we added two more to the scoreline. However, the opposition pressed well and managed to pull two goals back.

In the final moments of the game, we defended very well and, with the last play of the match, scored a decisive goal to secure a 5-3 victory.

It was a brilliant performance, especially in the second half, against a very well-organized team. This was probably our toughest game so far, but the team showed great resilience and determination.

I was particularly happy with our defensive work and how we pressed the ball when out of possession. One area for improvement is getting the ball out of our defensive third more effectively when we win possession.
