Vision Sharks 2 vs Leamington Brakes U10s Purple 5

Brakes made it 2 wins from 2 since the start of the new year to extend their unbeaten run which stretches all the way back to the first game of the season.

Having put 9 passed Bedworth United last Sunday Brakes were soon back in the goals when Edward found Artem who fired low and hard into the bottom corner to make it 1-0. Less than 5 minutes later Edward was brought down in the box after a string run and the referee awarded a penalty. Edward stepped up to take it and slammed it into the roof of the net. By this point Brakes were comfortably in control. Vision threw everything they had at them but the defence of Rufus, Ollie and Beau comfortably dealt with anything that came their way. A third goal came soon after when Artem met Edward’s corner to power home on the half volley. Three soon became four after some lovely passing lead to Rufus threading the eye of a needle for Beau to slot home. Brakes switched off for a brief moment and conceded one beating stand in keeper, Sam to grab one before half time.

Four one at halftime and the game was looking comfortable. However, Vision didn’t let their heads go down and mounted a mini come back in the second half pulling another goal back. But, in truth, Brakes were always in control and had numerous efforts on goal through Sam, Edward, Artem, Ollie, Stefan and Rufus but found the Vision goalkeeper in inspired form.

The game was made safe when Sam sped onto a through ball, round the keeper and calmly finished to make it 5-2. It wrapped up another great performance with bags of quality throughout the game.
