U11 Calcio Talent & Select - Harrogate Town

A really strong dominant display of quality pressing, setting traps and desire to the end led to a 3-3 draw in our first academy game VS Harrogate Town.

Having led early on it looked like Calcio were going to run away with it.  Between Will, Rocco and Josh as a front 3 we caused absolute chaos in the Town box. 

We maintained pressure by leaving a 1v1 battle at the back to allow us to step up man for man and squeeze the life out of Harrogate Town to keep them in their box for the entirety of the match.

We let ourselves down by conceding on the counter too often when they managed to clear the ball. 

Josh led the press well, wingers were patient in their job to cut out passing options and our midfielders were brave to step up and go man for man when out of possession which led to Calcio dominance.

In possession we were quality. We created a hatful for chances, used the width better than in previous games and midfielders like Fin and Seb had some great strikers from distance. 

On another day, with the correct size goals that finishes 12-1 to Calcio ! We were relentless and a great sign of how I want us to play.
