U9 Purple - Christ The King U9 Blue

The boys played a really good match today, all things considered. We fought hard and showed great determination and willingness to fight for each ball and dominated possession in the first half. However we did not create enough to take advantage of the great start. The opposition defended in numbers and we found it difficult to get past their defence and find the space we needed. 

Their referee was determined to impact the match and let multiple incidents of overly physical challenges from the home side go unpunished. With that level of physicality set, our boys fought valiantly and were unlucky not to create more and take something from the match.

The level of physicality in this tier is now clear to us. However if the boys show as much desire and resilience as they did so today, I am confident we will win more than we lose from our remaining matches.
