Girls U12's Lionesses - Bedworth United FC

U11’s Lionesses headed over to Bedworth United’s Oval for Saturdays game on their 3G pitch.

The game started off quite evenly matched with Bedworth having some big strong girls in the tackle, the Lionesses continued to try and move the ball as we had asked them to do and it was only a matter of time before we scored.

Mona opened the scoring with a great goal to open her account for the day! Without our super goalie Bella, Peyton volunteered to go in goal and found herself having little to do between the posts in the first half.

Further goals in the first half from Mimi and Layla took us to half time.

The began and the girls continued to move the ball well as a team and individually showing good skills, working for each other in a great team performance.

Second half goals from Sophia, a second for Mona, Lacey and final goal of the day for Layla taking her to 16 for the season so far.

We could not fault anyone in arguably our best performances of the season! Both coaches Nigel and Rob commented “it was a pleasure to be part of it”

Coaches player of match was Mona - her best game of the season, non-stop working and brilliant in front of goal!!

Parents player of the match was Peyton – amazing for volunteering to go in goal and keeping a clean sheet!
