Girls U9's Lionesses - Redditch Bourough U9s
Our girls faced a well set up talented side today in Redditch Bourough.
The performance today from all the girls was incredible.
First half:
A great start to the game the girls made some lovely balls and good clearances.
They battled and battled and they didn't stop.
The long balls worked better for us today, when we managed to put some good balls over we have some good chances on goal.
We hit the post once and hit the goalie the second time.
Unfortunately we just couldn't covert our chances.
Second half:
Some changes in the positions in the team to start the half.
Extra confidence and a boost gave the girls a good start.
We did not stop fighting, the confidence to put a tackle in and drive with the ball was excellent.
A good ball from the defence saw Rosie through on goal the ball just went round the right post. The slant of the pitch took that goal from us.
Some more tackles and driving forward.
An amazing ball through from Pheobe saw Aimee through on goal, the goalie made a good save.
An all round good performance from everyone. Some things to work on but everything is starting to come through. We can see the hard work in training showing through.
