Girls U9's Lionesses - Coventry Sphinx U9s

The girls faced a good opposition, and unfortunately lost to a good side. 

First half :

We started well, strong tackles being put in and all the girls tracking back to help defend. 

Grace  did a fab job in goal keeping us in the game with some fantastic saves. 

The defence kept fighting to get the ball up the pitch, the midfield did a brilliant job of collecting the ball from clearances and playing it forward. 

Unfortunately the opposition manged to score past our defensive unit. 

Second half:

The girls managed to put together some fantastic football with some one twos and powerful clearances. 

A ball to Pheobe managed to secure us a goal as she went 1 vs 1 with keeper after leaving their defence behind her. 

Some fabulous tackles and strength showed by every single player. 

It's starting to come together and the girls are playing some cracking football.
