Match Report: Stockton Thunder vs Balsall 08/02/2025

Stockton travelled to Balsall for a league match, with both teams eager to perform. The opening five minutes were tightly contested, but it was Balsall who struck first, gaining momentum and putting Stockton under pressure. Their physical style of play made it difficult for Stockton to find their rhythm, but the team worked hard throughout the game.
In the first half, Louis C and Rory W defended strongly, dealing with Balsall’s attacking threats. Ollie T put in a great shift, making some important tackles to disrupt the opposition. In goal, Colby faced challenging conditions but made several impressive saves to keep Stockton in the game.
The second half saw Liam R position himself well in defense, helping to clear danger, while Louie H stepped into goal and put in a solid performance between the posts. Jude T battled hard, showcasing his accurate passing and skillfully setting up Stockton’s goal with some great footwork. Bobby J was on hand to finish the move, scoring a well-deserved consolation goal late in the game.
Elsewhere, Hughie R demonstrated great footwork and created some promising chances for Stockton. Reuben M-J showed determination in defense, making strong runs and crucial tackles to break up Balsall's attacks.
Despite the final scoreline, Stockton gave their all and showed great resilience. The team can take plenty of positives from the performance and will look to build on this in the next game.
